People like peace lilies for their glossy green leaves and elegant white flowers. 

One of the common reasons to choose peace lilies is that they are easy to care for. You don’t need to water your peace lily plant regularly. 

An indoor peace lily can go for 10 to 12 days without water. However, it’s best to keep the soil consistently moist. But it should not dry out completely. 

So, Peace lily needs drainage. To ensure the health of your peace lily, it’s important to monitor the soil moisture level regularly. 

Then, adjust your watering routines accordingly.

How Often To Water Peace Lily Indoors

 As a general rule, it’s best to water your peace lily once a week.

You should always check the soil moisture level before watering your peace lily. 

If your plants get adequate water, then flowers on peace lily last long. 

For An Outdoor Peace Lily

In outdoor areas, peace lilies can survive for a short period without water, much like it would indoors. 

Generally, outdoor peace lilies require more frequent watering than indoor peace lilies. Because they are exposed to the sun, wind, and other environmental factors. 

However, outdoors, peace lilies can go without water for a few days up to a week.

Winter is a crucial month. Growing something in that month is a nightmare. But peace lily can! Even you can take care of it correctly. With the right care, peace lily can even grow pretty large.

If you notice your peace lily, you can see its growth is reduced in the winter. 

Actually, Peace Lily requires less water than they do in warmer months. During the winter season, peace lilies are able to go longer without water than they would in the summer.

If you see sticky or gummy droplets on your peace lily, it can be a sign of pest infestation. Thus, a lot of water for peace lily is not necessary.

On the other hand, water is not the only factor for a happy peace lily. 

Here are some reasons why your peace lily may be sad even though it has water: 

  • Low humidity: Peace lilies prefer high humidity. If your plant has enough water, but there is no adequate humidity, then your peace lily becomes sad. 
  • Lack of light: Peace lily plants need adequate sunlight. They prefer bright, indirect light. If the plant is not getting enough light, it may become limp and sad. 
  • Temperature: Peace lilies need temperatures between 65-80°F (18-27°C). In cold temperatures your peace lily can wilt and look sad.

So, if your peace lily looks sad even though it has water, it could be due to plenty of water, underwatering, low humidity, lack of light, or temperature fluctuations.

You can make them happy again by addressing these issues and providing the plant with the right growing conditions.

Now I will provide you some proven tips that I applied on my peace lily plant to keep my peace lily well watered. 

Here are those tips:

  • Water your plant once a week or when the top inch of soil feels dry.
  • Use room temperature water and pour it slowly onto the soil until it starts to drain out of the bottom of the pot.
  • Avoid letting your plant sit in standing water in wide range for too long. This can cause root rot. 
  • Make sure the plant is in a pot with good drainage holes.
  •  If you notice the leaves starting to droop, that’s a sign that the plant needs water.

Can Plants Go 2 Weeks Without Water?

Peace lilies are known for their resilience. They can usually go without water for a week or two.
