Uncle said, the lifespan of a peace lily flower can vary. But generally, individual flowers of a peace lily can last for about 4 to 6 weeks. After this period, the flowers gradually fade and eventually turn green. 

While peace lilies don’t follow a strict seasonal pattern for flowering like some plants, it’s said that spring and summer are peace lily flowering seasons. Because at this time they bloom more frequently. 

By providing their adequate environmental requirements, you can enjoy their gorgeous flowers all year round. But to enjoy that, you gotta care peace lily carefully cause the peace lily is a dramatic plant.

Naturally, a peace lily has a lifespan of three to five years. If you can ensure their basic needs, such as consistent watering when the soil feels dry, bright, indirect light, and a warm environment as their native environment, then some plant species can live for two decades or more.

These are the vital causes for stopping the flowering of my plants. And for the same reason peace lily plants can have drooping and stunted growth situations.

When it comes to peace lily flowering, it’s important to know the flowering stages of a peace lily flower. 

If you don’t know the flowering stages of a peace lily, then you can’t give them optimal care. 

On the other hand, being aware of the flower stages you can enhance your appreciation of the plant’s beauty.

BuddingThis is the initial stage of the peace lily flower. The flower bud is often mistaken for new foliage, as it resembles a fresh leaf.
FloweringBuds mature and open into white or off-white spathes. It reveals the spadix with tiny flowers.
Full BloomIn this stage, flowers peak with fully opened spathes, displaying the complete floral beauty.
Flower FadingAfter 4 to 6 weeks, the flowers begin to fade. This time, the spathe may turn green and diminish the bloom.
Seed ProductionAfter pollination, the flowers close and it develop into small berry-like structures, where they produce seeds. 
DeathThe final stage. In this stage, flowers deteriorate and start turning brown or black. Also, the spadix disintegrates.

Many people face flowering issues of peace lily. They notice their plants are not flowering again, while peace lilies are renowned for their multiple flowering capacity. 

Even I also faced the same problem and worried about will a peace lily rebloom? 

Then I get know, yes, a peace lily will rebloom when given the proper care and condition. 

Naturally, when your plant matures, it starts blooming. And they mature around 1 to 1.5 years of age. 

To encourage your peace lily to flower, it should be old enough. Also you have to provide them with ideal blooming conditions.

The reason is the plant was treated with a plant hormone called gibberellic acid by commercial growers to force it to bloom before it had matured. But, peace lilies aren’t acid loving plants so gotta be careful.

How Do I Get My Peace Lily To Flower Again

Now I will share some ideal steps that I followed to bloom my peace lily again: 

  • Provide adequate light: Why is light necessary? Light is the most important factor that affects your peace lilies flowering. They prefer bright, indirect light. So, you have to place your plant near a window where it can receive filtered sunlight. 
  • Proper watering: You should know how often do peace lilies need to be watered? You have to keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Overwatering leads to root rot. Also, use distilled water or rainwater and avoid tap water. Check the soil moisture before watering. 
  • Humidity: Peace lilies thrive in higher humidity. So you should also provide them with high humidity to bloom again. You can increase the humidity level by misting the leaves, placing a humidifier, or setting a tray filled with water near the plant. 
  • Fertilize your plant: Your peace lily needs some energy to bloom again.  Feed your peace lily a balanced houseplant fertilizer every 2 to 3 months to provide the necessary nutrients for their growth and blooming. 
  • Pruning and Deadheading: Trimming yellow or damaged leaves and removing spent blooms is a good practice to encourage reblooming your plants. 
  • Check for Pests and Diseases: If your peace lilies are affected by pests then they can’t flower again.  Ensure your Peace Lily is free from pests and diseases. Insects or infections can stress the plant and impede its ability to bloom. 
  • Repotting: If your peace lily is root-bound, then your plant can’t bloom properly. You should consider repotting it into a larger container. It helps your plant to bloom again.

On the other hand, peace lilies are not very thirsty plants. But peace lilies are dramatic when they are thirsty. 

Now I will share a proper schedule of sunlight and water for blooming peace lily flowers. So that you can be tension-free.

Sunlight Schedule:

  • Place your peace lily in bright, indirect sunlight. A north or east facing window can be the best place for your peace lily
  • No, you should avoid direct sunlight on peace lily. It can scorch the leaves and flowers of your peace lily.
  • Provide them filtered sunlight for at least 6 hours a day.

Watering Schedule:

  • You should keep the soil consistently moist. Overwatering and underwatering both are harmful to peace lilies.
  • You should consider watering only when the top inch of soil feels dry. 
  • Water more frequently during the growing season like spring and summer.
  • You have to reduce watering slightly during the plant’s rest period like winter.
  • peace lilies don’t like sugar water. So, don’t use this in plants. Use room temperature filtered water. 
  • The best watering rule is once a week.

Note: You can adjust the frequency of watering based on the temperature, humidity and your other environmental factors.
